Swine Flu 2009 Tour

Dude. There were two cases reported at UC Boulder. That is hometown within a 5 mile radius style. I am still not worried- I am otherwise healthy and I figure if I get it then it will be just like any other flu really. I am going to just take vitamins and run and make sure that I am good about not being around people who are sick. That should be sufficient.

I've decided, on this and everything really, to just live my life and let other people get frazzled about things like this.

In the end, we can't control any of it. You'll get swine flu from a grocery cart or monkeypox from your game of groundhog baseball or SARS from that Chinese-made Dora toy your kid's playing with.

What can you do? If you die of this ... at least it wasn't Cancer or AIDS or something that takes its time.

It might seem like I'm being cavalier, but the point is that if it isn't one thing, it'll be another. AND you can't spend your whole life worrying about the monster under your bed. Just throw him a cookie now and then and it'll be all good. In the meantime, live like living matters.

Generally agree. You go at some point or another. Maybe you can avoid some stuff, but in the end you can't avoid it all.

I was just surprised that swine flu was still back in the news after I was off the radar for about two weeks. I thought it had been contained and was just running its course

The maid of honor at the wedding we were at last weekend turned out to have swine flu. Jenny stood next to her in the bridal party, but doesn’t seem to be showing signs. One bridesmaid so far has started to show signs of possibly having it.
